About the Company

Co-founders Varun and Ghazal Alagh launched Honasa Consumer Ltd in 2016 with the inception of their first brand, Mamaearth. Mamaearth was launched with the aim of providing safe and natural baby care and personal care products for newborn babies, toddlers, and mothers. The very good quality products and the ever-increasing demand for chemical-free products led to the fame and popularity of Mamaearth in the Indian market.

While Aqualogica was India’s first hydration-based skincare brand, crafted to suit the Indian skin and tropical climates, Ayuga provided Ayurvedic products in an easy-to-use and modern avatar. The same year, Honasa acquired Momspresso – a user-generated content platform with an engaged community of 3 million monthly active users.

The year 2022 say HCL’s portfolio expanded with strategic acquisitions of two more brands – Dr. Sheth’s and BBLunt. The very same year, Honasa acquired the landmark of India’s first unicorn of 2022 and The Derma Co. crossed the 100 crore ARR mark.
