Often, we overlook the impact our actions today might have on the world our children and grandchildren inherit. Air, water, and nature are vital for survival, yet their current condition is alarming. When we pause to ponder the state of pollution and resource scarcity, it paints a grim picture for future generations.

While many remain indifferent to global warming and environmental issues, unsung heroes are working towards solutions. Indra Water, a wastewater treatment industry, stands out as a beacon of hope, actively contributing to a sustainable and habitable planet. Their efforts remind us that positive change is possible when we take responsibility for our environment.

About Indra Water

INDRA has developed cost-effective wastewater solutions, providing turnkey decentralized management and treatment options. Their patented designs, known for being modular and easily scalable, cater to both domestic and industrial needs. The systems, backed by INDRA SMART automation and INDRA SPECTRUM analytics, ensure efficiency and consistent performance.

With low energy consumption, no added chemical requirements, minimal sludge generation, and over 95% water recovery, INDRA addresses key issues in the wastewater treatment industry. Their robust system handles a wide range of pollutants, from sewage to toxic industrial effluents, ensuring desired water quality output.

Founders

Indra Water is founded by Amrit Om Nayak, the CEO of Indra Waters, and Krunal Patel, the COO. Through their decentralized, modular, and electrically driven water treatment solution, Indra is making a significant impact, saving millions of liters of water annually and contributing to the vision of a sustainable future.

Business Model

Indra Water has developed three wastewater treatment systems:

  • Indra Flow Series

Indra Flow Series is an Electro-Coagulation system designed in such a way that it can remove harmful contaminants from commercial, residential, industrial, or municipal wastewater. This is a low-energy consumption model that does not use any chemicals as opposed to the prevalent biological enzyme-based, chemical coagulation, or other membrane-based processes.

  • Indra Activated Flow Series

This treatment system combines their patented and highly advanced ‘Sludge Activated Flocculation’ (SAF) technology and ‘Activated Treatment’ process with the Indra Flow Series System to treat wastewater with high content of BOD, TDS, COD, coloration, turbidity, and harmful chemicals.

  • Indra Electrox Series

Indra Electrox Series is their most advanced wastewater treatment systems that combines Electro oxidation technology with Indra Activated Flow Series to enable multi-stage controlled wastewater treatment. This is a very efficient system as it removes very high carbon content of organic carbon and oxygen-demanding potent substances. Many other highly harmful pollutants present in industrial wastewater are also efficiently removed with this system.

All three treatment systems come with SMART Monitoring and SPECTRUM Analytic technologies. SMART is an automated platform that optimizes systems to improve consistency, and efficiency and also reduce operational costs. It allows remote access, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting.

SPECTRUM is an analytic platform powered by an integrated network of sensor bundles, smart algorithms, analyzers, and evolving databases that help to reduce operational costs without compromising on the quality of measurements. It provides real-time feedback to help optimize the maintenance cycle and performance. It also provides data-driven predictive analysis for better water management.

Technology

Indra’s patented wastewater treatment method employs innovative electro-coagulation, electro-oxidation, two-phase solids separation, disinfection, distillation, and pollutant monitoring. Modular and scalable, it adapts to various throughput needs. The unique design ensures effectiveness, affordability, and minimal maintenance, offering the best “Rupees per KL” treatment cost.

Achieving high efficiency, low energy consumption, and a 30% cost reduction, it requires only 1/3rd the space compared to alternatives. With scalable, flexible treatment, smart automation, and remote troubleshooting, it’s not only affordable but also user-friendly. The methodology avoids hazardous chemicals, simplifies sludge management, and enhances consistency, reducing human dependence and downtime.
