There is an interesting update from the government of India as it has launched a campaign called Mera Yuva Bharat. The cabinet approves the establishment of an autonomous body, Mera Yuva Bharat. It will serve as an overarching enabling mechanism powered by technology for youth development. It seeks to harness the immense youth energy for nation-building by enabling youth to act as Yuva Setu between the government and the citizens.

And what will be the impact?

It will help in leadership development in the youth, better alignment between youth aspirations and community needs, enhance efficiency through the convergence of existing programs, act as a one-stop shop for young people and ministries, create a centralized youth database, and ensure accessibility by creating a physical ecosystem. This was approved under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

The union cabinet has approved the establishment of Mera Yuva Bharat, an autonomous body designed to serve the needs of young individuals aged 15 to 29, aligning with the national youth policy definition of youth. M.Y. Bharat will function as a comprehensive technology-driven facilitator for youth development and youth-led initiatives.

It will ensure equitable access for young people to pursue their aspirations and contribute to the development of Viksit Bharat across all government domains.
